El Chupacabra or literal translation “Goat Sucker” has been a spectacle in the southwestern US for decades. This legendary creature drinks the blood of it’s victims, leaving no trace at the scene. Often times taking out an entire flock of chickens or a whole herd of goats.
Witness reports vary from a hairless dog, to alien or reptilian looking, to a bear sized animal with spikes down it’s back depending on the region of the reported sighting. Skeptics have tried to debunk it as a coyote or dog with mange causing hairloss, but nothing has explained the oddly specific form of movement; hopping like a kangaroo. With such a wide variety of physical attributes and an even wider ranging habitat, could this be a new species? Or Just the work of someone's imagination?
